Belgian techno sensation Amelie Lens made headlines as she closed the Tomorrowland 2026 Freedom Stage on Sunday evening with a set dedicated to her much-anticipated debut album, 'AURA.' In an exclusive interview with Belgian public broadcaster VRT NWS, Lens discussed the empowering experience of performing while pregnant, stating, "As a pregnant woman, you shouldn’t put your dreams aside." The Freedom Stage performance marked a significant moment in Lens's career, as she celebrated nearly a decade of dedication to her craft. On September 5, she will showcase 'AURA' during a full audio-visual live show outside the KMSKA in her hometown of Antwerp. Lens reflected on her journey, noting, "I’ve been doing this for 10 years, so that’s quite late, but I never felt ready before and now everything just clicks."

After an energetic appearance at the Atmosphere tent during Weekend 1, Lens was keen to elevate her performance in the impressive Freedom tent, which features innovative rotating screens overhead. "I have a team of my own technicians in the Freedom – very different from plugging in my USB in the Atmosphere," she remarked, showcasing her excitement for the larger setup. However, the festival buzz also swirled around rumors of a surprise guest appearance by Belgian pop star Angèle, which Lens quipped down: “Unfortunately not. I would love to have Angèle with us all the time, but with our busy schedules, that is almost impossible."

Currently pregnant with her second daughter, Lens has embraced the duality of her roles as a mother and a performing artist. In her interview, she emphasized the importance of prioritizing her health for both herself and her unborn child. "I always sleep 8 hours. My body is my baby’s home: that always takes priority," she stated. The artist's candid approach to her pregnancy and its positive impact on her performance has resonated with many fans.

"I love being pregnant and I feel good, so it feels very empowering, very powerful to still be able to do my job.
