Kappa CULTR Unveils Aftermovie Celebrating Kerala’s Electronic Festival

Kappa CULTR, Kerala's largest electronic music festival, has released its official aftermovie for the 2026 edition, showcasing the vibrant essence of this year’s celebration held at the Bolgatty Palace Grounds in Kochi. This cinematic tribute captures three days filled with electrifying performances, stunning stage production, and an infectious atmosphere that drew together a diverse community of music lovers and creators.

The aftermovie serves not merely as a recap but as a heartfelt homage to the thousands of festivalgoers and artists involved in creating an exceptional experience that resonated with the spirit of electronic music and contemporary culture. Featuring performances from 27 renowned global and local artists, the festival presented a broad range of electronic music styles, such as melodic house, techno, progressive house, and psytrance. The film encapsulates an unforgettable mix of talents and genres, reinforcing Kappa CULTR's position as a distinct cultural landmark in India.

Beyond the music, Kappa CULTR has made significant strides in redefining the festival experience by integrating a multidisciplinary cultural program. Under the banner of CULTR ART, the venue was transformed into a dynamic visual realm, replete with contemporary installations and immersive artworks. Attendees were invited to explore this creative landscape, enriching their experience as they engaged with the art that surrounded them.

CULTR Food offered a celebration of culinary diversity, curated by Alex Jo Scaria, showcasing Kochi's rich coastal heritage alongside global flavors. Fashion took center stage with CULTR Fashion, led by Strada Sutairer, emphasizing fashion as a critical means of identity and expression. In addition to these cultural experiences, CULTR Games, curated by Versus Arcade Games, introduced interactive gaming zones, further enhancing the immersive ecosystem of the festival.

The Kappa CULTR ’26 Aftermovie is now available for viewing on the Kappa CULTR YouTube channel. Mayura Shreyams Kumar, one of the festival’s founders and director of the Digital Business at Mathrubhumi Group, highlighted the film's intention to celebrate not only music but the whole spectrum of artistry present at the event. Devika Shreyams Kumar, another founder and director of operations, emphasized the film's goal to encapsulate the collective memories and energy of three unforgettable days.
